Virakar will not be in AoC at release 05/01/08 05:47 PM by Sarnor Just an official announcement for everyone. Virakar will not be participating in Age of Conan with an official branch at launch or for the foreseeable future. We will continue to monitor its progress after launch and if we feel that the game is worth pursuing at some point we will reconsider opening an official branch at that time. EVE Branch Opens Recruitment 04/04/08 12:10 PM by Priest Thus far in EVE, Virakar has solely been recruiting people from within the guild itself. The results have been impressive, and our pilots have mostly graduated from the "noob" label into a group that dynamically changes whatever larger entity they join/work with. In preparation for our next move into untamed wilds of lawless space, we have decided to finally open up recruitment for the EVE Branch to those outside of the guild. This marks a rather critical moment in the history of our branch, as it heralds fresh blood that will soon be making its way into guild itself. Happy Birthday Virakar 04/03/08 11:32 AM by Rokin Yup, it's that time of year again. Virakar turns six this year. A lot has happened in the past year. We closed down one branch just to open another (WoW and EVE respectively), picked up a lot of great new members, and as always pissed off a few folks. What will happen in the next year? WHO or AoC? April Fools! 03/24/08 02:53 PM by Arkhubar We hate to disappoint everyone that was so happy about our recent announcement, but the news below was a total hoax. We're not returning to Shadowbane. We're still in EVE, and doing quite well. We do feel bad that more people than expected got their hopes up that we were returning, but there were some funny results: " The final days: Our last contract was against a new corporation called Virikar. It was during this time that we really realised that the intensity of our life was beginning to show in our performance. Our results against VK are not especially impressive, but like many other groups they rightly only engage when they have superiority. We did however manage to shut them down in that they dropped their wardec and were getting no kills except against us. Today they announced the closing of their Eve branch, with some mebers switching out to Virakorp. With the conditions of our contract met it was time for us to hang up our merc gloves." ...whoops. I also liked this and this. I don't think in the almost six years we've been operating we've ever declared defeat as a news update, the only time we might have would be over four years ago (which would be the only time you could arguably say we were defeated). Sorry to disappoint MCrew (and client), but we're still alive and well. We're actually in the Red v Blue alliance war now.
